I'm with my Tarot for Writers online writing class and we're writing about endings. We've pulled the Magician. I'm imagining he's my writing coach...
The Magi says, "Always begin with the end in mind," as he's holding up a completed mixture in a vile, he hands it to me to smell. It is the most beautiful fragrance, so multi layered. I couldn't have ever imagined it before. He smiles at my delight and surprise. He says, "Watch and learn." He begins measuring and mixing, tube by tube, seventeen different fragrances together, letting me take a sniff of each one.
I ask the Magi, my writing coach, about how I can use this as an outline process so that I can go all the way through a story, start to finish. He says, "Start by creating each fragrance, story part, one by one, in no particular order. Revise and perfect each one. And as you start blending them together you will know by your extremely well developed senses, what else needs to be added or removed. Write daily and let the mood be your guide"
I should write each piece like it was one complete and perfect part with each part containing the beginning, middle and end. And then begin blending all the parts into one story. But remember... write with the end in mind.
I will live my writing life by the moon.
